The last of the puppies, Buddah & Bear, are gone. all 8 of them didnt survive...... the mom, Boodas, is completely unfased, but has something worth rubbing her head on the ground to get out, Haleyi is getting old & her muzzle is completely gray. we think most of the puppies died because of the same thing,over time getting really bad stomaches & dirahea until it kills them. the 1st to died of hypotherma, their 1st rain.

and then there were 2....

down to 2 puppies...Katie's favorite puppy is still with us. (thank God!) the weather has been cold, rainy, wet...not ideal for a first time mom whose hobby is sleeping in mudholes...

I don't know what Katie & KJ have named the newest baby kittens...but they are old enough to eat with the big cats! I call the older kitten Baby Black Kitty...

Miss Cuddles

Miss Cuddles sunning in window the other day when it was nice enough to open windows...
the poor dear is getting old like the rest of us...the last 2 nites we have found her laying down with her mouth open drooling...the first time I just kept my mouth shut, KJ found her last nite, so Katie was very tearful & worried. where will we bury her? will the house stink when she dies?
I did some intensive dusting yesterday...maybe that stuffed her nose up. or the 3rd (or 4th?) dose of Frontline bothered her. or she's just old. or she has a cold. I was even thinking stroke last nite... when we petted her, she purred, & she consented to a blanket on her which she usually doesn't do. I figured this morning would be bad, but she was in her usual spot on the couch over Katie's head when I got up...

Mittens

was found dead on a day we didn't have time to lay her to rest...so Katie & Jessie buried her Sunday Nov. 1. The usual burial tree had no spots left, so they picked a new tree. I was so proud of Katie for doing this. She loves her animals & they are lucky to have her!
